Enhancing senior high school students' thinking skills through Honey-Mumford learning styles and empowering questioning
Learning in the Era of Society 5.0 empowers metacognitive, creative, and critical thinking skills. Therefore, innovative learning processes are needed to facilitate learning and accommodate students' abilities in this era. One such innovation is the Honey and Mumford (HM) learning style, supported by the Thinking Empowerment by Questioning (TEQ) technique. This study aims to analyze the effect of the HM learning style assisted by the TEQ technique on students' metacognitive, creative, and critical thinking abilities in learning the concept of viruses among Grade 10 students at a senior high school in a regency in eastern Indonesia. This research employed a quasi-experimental method using a non-equivalent group design. The statistical analysis used was Analysis of Covariance (ANCOVA). The results of the study indicate that the HM learning style assisted by the TEQ technique significantly influences students' metacognitive, creative, and critical thinking skills.
