The genome sequence of the Lesser weever, Echiichthys vipera (Cuvier, 1829) (Perciformes: Trachinidae)
<ns3:p> We present a genome assembly from an individual <ns3:italic>Echiichthys vipera</ns3:italic> (Lesser weever; Chordata; Actinopteri; Perciformes; Trachinidae). The genome sequence has a total length of 800.38 megabases. Most of the assembly (99.21%) is scaffolded into 25 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the X and Y sex chromosomes. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 16.92 kilobases. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces genome assemblies for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland. </ns3:p>
