In line with the Radioactive Waste Directive 2011/70/Euratom, which establishes a community framework for the responsible and safe management of spent fuel and radioactive waste, EURAD-2 (European Partnership on Radioactive Waste Management) aims to support, over the next decade and across Europe, the safe start of operations of the first geological disposal facilities.
