A critical examination of the use of modeling systems in the military education process

A critical examination of the use of modeling systems in the military education process The digitalisation of military education has led to the active implementation of modeling and simulation systems in the training process. (1) Such technologies are considered a means of developing practical skills, enhancing critical thinking, and preparing personnel for operations in complex combat environments. (2) At the same time, the experience of their use in Ukraine under conditions of full-scale war reveals several contradictions between the potential of these systems and the actual results of their application. This highlights the need for critical reflection on both the technical and methodological aspects of their use. Oleksandra Dmytrenko, a Master’s student at the Naval Institute of the National University Odessa Maritime Academy, provides a critical analysis of the application of modeling systems in the military education process.

A critical examination of the use of modeling systems in the military education process The digitalisation of military education has led to the active implementation of modeling and simulation systems in the training process.
