9-Keel Unified Theory Series: Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD)
This work is part of the 9-Keel Unified Theory Series, presenting a unified theoretical interpretation of Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD) based on the TOFD framework. The paper proposes a falsifiable model framing NAFLD as a systemic repair failure syndrome, where tissue lipid dysregulation factor exceeds homeostatic repair capacity. It adheres to the Cell Innocence Principle, rejecting the "isolated metabolic disorder" narrative and suggesting hepatic steatosis reflects functional insufficiency rather than primary metabolic pathology. The full foundational principles of the 9-Keel Unified Theory are detailed in the series overview paper. Individuals with NAFLD should not alter prescribed care or medication without consulting a licensed physician.
