Experiencias prácticas en la evaluación del impacto en la CEM y en la Calidad de la Energía de Inversores empleados en plantas de generación solar fotovoltaica
The article, begins by addressing the advances in the solar photovoltaic energy worldwide, including Argentina, and describes the issues related to both Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Power Quality (PQ) that may arise when inverters are utilized in Photovoltaic Solar Plants (PVSP). Such issues are typically related to the harmonic content emitted by the inverters used in these types of power plants. In this framework, the typical topologies are described, not only for photovoltaic solar plants but also for the inverters themselves Then, the importance of performing field measurements in plants containing inverters is substantiated with two primary reasons. The first is to determine compliance with the existing EMC and PQ requirements. The second is to characterize the behaviour of the inverters used in certain plants to achieve realistic simulation models. In this sense, the results of EMC and PQ field measurements performed in three of the most important Photovoltaic Solar Plants of Argentina are shown. Such measurements were performed at the Point of Connection with the power system as well as at internal points of the plants. Finally, the measurement results are compared with the limits established by international Standards regarding these issues and with the existing limits in the Argentinian grid code. As a result, it is concluded that the technical performance of the inverters, in terms of EMC and PQ, was appropriate.
