ECR Spotlight – Francis Grover

ABSTRACT ECR Spotlight is a series of interviews with early-career authors from a selection of papers published in Journal of Experimental Biology and aims to promote not only the diversity of early-career researchers (ECRs) working in experimental biology but also the huge variety of animals and physiological systems that are essential for the ‘comparative’ approach. Francis Grover is an author on ‘ Environmental consistency, not certainty, governs predictive motor strategies in human walking’, published in JEB. Francis is a Postdoctoral Scholar in the lab of Keith Gordon at the Department of Physical Therapy and Human Movement Science, Feinberg School of Medicine, Northwestern University, USA, investigating the dynamical and neuromechanical underpinnings of human motor control, with a current focus on balance, gait and locomotor adaptation.
