Psychiatric and Neurological Involvement in COVID-19 Hospitalized Patients Through the Global Pandemic in Central Romania
Neuropsychiatric manifestations in hospitalized Coronavirus disease of 2019 (COVID-19) patients underwent a compositional shift from psychiatric dominance in early waves to severe neurological dominance in later waves, consistent with a transition from reactive psychiatric presentations toward progressive neurological injury. This pattern, largely independent of measured confounders, underscores the need for sustained neurological surveillance beyond the acute respiratory phase.
