ACHEM148691: Continuous-flow column evaluation of a novel clay–biomass composite filter media (KJ25 EcoPellets) for iron and manganese removal from decentralised drinking-water systems
, while improving operability by reducing backwash velocity required for ∼30% expansion and lowering 3 min backwash water volumes to 4.02-4.64 L compared with 7.02 L for fine KJ25 mono-media (∼35-45% reduction). Overall, KJ25 offers lower headloss, robust Fe removal, improved Mn control, and favourable operability for decentralised drinking-water treatment.
