Solar Fertilizer Sprayer

Power requirement is a significant challenge for our country. Now a days, with the reduction in conventional energy resources of energy the usage of alternative energy options is in a rise. To meet this huge energy demand one of the important sources that can be used is the solar power. By solar based spraying fertilizer introducing solar energy, the environmental contamination due to the usage of diesel and petrol is controlled. Hence in agricultural sector solar energy can be used for requests of fertilizers and pest repellents with the help of Solar sprayers. In this paper we have discussed is used, where the later proves to be more effective than the traditional methods. Agriculture plays a vital role in the global economy, yet it faces significant challenges such as labour shortages and health hazards associated with manual pesticide spraying. This paper presents the design and development of a Solar Operated Agriculture Spray Robot controlled via an Android application developed using MIT App Inventor. The system leverages the ESP8266 NodeMCU as the primary microcontroller, utilizing its integrated Wi-Fi capabilities for remote operation. To ensure sustainability, the robot is powered by a solar photovoltaic system coupled with a rechargeable lead-acid battery. The mechanical design incorporates a four-wheeled chassis driven by DC motors, a liquid storage tank, and a high-pressure DC pump with a fine- mist nozzle. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed robot can be efficiently controlled within a range of 30-50 meters, providing a safer, eco-friendly, and cost effective solution for precision agriculture. The integration of renewable energy ensures reduced operational costs and carbon footprint, making it suitable for modern farming practices.
