Exploring the use of hydrophilic ionic liquids for the lysis of fungal structures
This study explores the use of hydrophilic ionic liquids for lysis of Aspergillus niger and Trichoderma reesei conidia and mycelium to provide DNA suitable for PCR-based assays, demonstrating their potential as simple, cost-effective, and gentle lysis agents and potentially enabling rapid DNA extraction for diverse molecular applications.
