The Rota Fortunae Function: A Formal Schema for Modal-Relational Sedimentation and the Production of Nanodestinies

Meta Papers Series – MPε I This paper introduces and formalizes the concept of rota fortunae as an operatory function within the framework of Philosophia Imminentiae. It specifies the circular dynamics through which configurations acquire stability via modal-relational sedimentation. The analysis develops a formal schema in which configurations are articulated through relations, mediations, and inscriptions, and progressively stabilized through reiterated operations. Within this process, rota fortunae designates the feedback structure through which stabilization reinforces repetition and reorganizes the conditions of further articulation. Stabilized configurations are conceptualized as nanodestinies, understood as localized closures that regulate the trajectory of subsequent operations without eliminating variation. Closure is treated as a graded condition that constrains the operability of alternative configurations while preserving their formal possibility. The paper further introduces operators for sedimentation, closure, and perturbation, providing a minimal formal apparatus for analysing the production, persistence, and transformation of stabilized configurations. On this basis, genealogical analysis is situated at the level of sedimentation, where it engages the dynamics through which configurations acquire normative force and structural persistence. As Meta Paper Épsilon I (MPε I), this contribution isolates rota fortunae as a core operator of the system, establishing its formal structure and its role in the articulation of destiny as a modal-relational effect of reiterated operations.
