Case Report: Diagnosis of leptospirosis presenting as aseptic meningitis using metagenomics CAPture sequencing
Background: infection manifesting as aseptic meningitis in China. Case presentation: . Following a course of antibiotics and methylprednisolone therapy, the patient fully recovered. Conclusion: This case underscores the importance of considering leptospirosis in differential diagnoses for aseptic meningitis, especially in individuals with occupational risks related to water or animal exposure. MetaCAP's extensive coverage, sensitivity, and early pathogen detection capabilities can significantly enhance patient outcomes.
