A lead(I) dimer supported by an amidinate ligand

The lead(I) dimer [Pb( t Bu Am Dipp )] 2 ([ t Bu Am Dipp ] – = [ tBuC{NDipp} 2 ] – , Dipp = 2,6- iPr 2 C 6 H 3 ) was formed as a side product during the reaction of the aluminyl anion [K{Al(NON)}] 2 ([NON] 2 – = [O{SiMe 2 NDipp} 2 ] 2 – ) and the plumbylene [Pb( t Bu Am Dipp )Cl] 2 . Herein, we report the solid-state and electronic structure of this hitherto unknown Pb(I) complex.
