Pd‐Catalyzed Allylic Arylation for Divergent Access to CF 3 ‐Functionalized Fluorenes and Dibenzofulvenes
We report a unified palladium‐catalyzed allylic arylation strategy for the divergent synthesis of CF 3 ‐functionalized fluorenes and dibenzofulvenes from CF 3 –π‐allyl‐Pd complexes. One pathway features the first α‐selective nucleophilic addition in CF 3 –π‐allyl‐Pd chemistry to yield CF 3 ‐fluorenes, while the other follows intramolecular Tsuji–Trost allylation and isomerization to generate CF 3 ‐dibenzofulvenes.
