Sensor Telemetry in SIS–10: A Formal Mathematical Specification

This paper formalizes the role of continuous sensor telemetry within the SIS–10 safety kernel. We define typed sensor domains, stochastic measurement models, drift/bias/noise decomposition, failure predicates, predictive hazard scoring, reliability tracking, and a compositional safety invariant. The resulting formulation is compatible with SIS–10’s temporal algebra, event semantics, and SIL–based verification framework

Abstract

This paper formalizes the role of continuous sensor telemetry within the SIS–10 safety kernel. We define typed sensor domains, stochastic measurement models, drift/bias/noise decomposition, failure predicates, predictive hazard scoring, reliability tracking, and a compositional safety invariant. The resulting formulation is compatible with SIS–10’s temporal algebra, event semantics, and SIL–based verification framework
