Methodologies of research on competition activity in volleyball

Studying the competition activity of volleyball players in a thorough and step-by-step manner makes it possible to develop an adequate system of training of athletes. On the basis of the said knowledge, it is possible not only to make detailed plans and increase the effectiveness of training of athletes, but also to manage the team correctly during a game (adjust the strategy and tactics in a timely manner). Success of a team in a competition depends on all of these components. The analysis of the game actions of volleyball players was conducted according to four most important indicators. These include activity (volume), effectiveness, win, and defeat at the time of performing various technical-tactical actions by players of the team. For evaluating the competition activity of athletes, we have developed a methodology designed to evaluate the quality of performance of skills of the game with a four-symbol system. Each technical-tactical action of an athlete is evaluated at the moment of performance of the skill according to criteria developed by us.The analysis of the game actions of volleyball players was conducted according to four most important indicators developed by us.
