Co-cultivated hyperaccumulators’ phytoremediation role in reducing food chain contamination in tannery wastewater irrigated wheat field
remediation. The study concludes that co-cropping hyperaccumulators with agronomic crops like wheat reduced the pollution load on the edible harvest of the crop. However, computing sustainability aspects of the developed co-cropping system in wastewater-irrigated agroecosystems remains a future development of the study.
