Sci - Atomic Polarity: Void Geometry, Intrapolarity, and Dynamic Tessellation from the Collapse Tension Substrate
We present the complete Atomic Polarity framework — a five-layer theory of atomic structure and chemical behavior derived from the Collapse Tension Substrate (CTS) of Intent Tensor Theory. The framework inverts the standard ontological order: the negative-space continuum (CTS in S1b) is primary; matter is the curvature distortion that the substrate assembles. Every atom exists as a localized IHCTB cell embedded in this continuum, carrying a void geometry determined by its curvature-shell configuration. The five layers are: (1) the Unified Negative Bond — the pre-geometric CTS substrate as the primary field from which all matter emerges as curvature distortions in an S1b-activated negative-space continuum; (2) the Void Geometry Function G_void(Z,S;tau) = Top{r : rho_e,Z,S(r) = tau} — the topology of the isodensity boundary generated by the atom's k_xyz curvature-shell field, derived through the chain Z -> Z_eff -> D_nl -> rho_e -> Sigma -> G_void using Clementi-Raimondi SCF screening constants; (3) Intrapolarity — the k_pol gradient field within the void region B_void, formally identified as the complement of the Electron Localization Function (ELF), constituting the atom's pre-geometric preference map for bonding; (4) Gross Polarity — the S2 expression of void topology in electron shells, electronegativity, and the octet rule — derived as void closure condition (i(W) = 0) rather than imposed as a separate rule; (5) Intratessellation — the dynamic Morse-cell partition of the void boundary induced by the six-zone IHCTB anisotropy scaffold, with direct formal connection to Bonding Evolution Theory (ELF + Thom catastrophe theory) as its post-veil mathematical expression. The anisotropy potential U_Z,S(Omega; tau) is defined on the shell boundary and its Morse-Smale decomposition gives the intratessellation cell structure C_Z,S(tau). Three theorem targets are stated: (A) existence of the void shell as a variational minimizer; (B) existence of intratessellation when anisotropy exceeds a critical threshold; (C) topological transitions occur only at anisotropy bifurcation points where det(nabla^2_Omega U) = 0. Water is the master empirical case demonstrating all five layers: four-lobe ELF topology (two bond basins + two lone pair basins), 104.5 degree bent geometry from asymmetric Morse-cell compression, and continuous sub-picosecond H-bond rearrangement (tau approximately 0.78 ps) derived as the S_sel persistence time of one tessellation configuration before CTS reorganization. Dynamic tessellation is the continuous topological catastrophe sequence of void geometry handshaking — already described by Bonding Evolution Theory at the post-veil level. All predictions are stated with explicit falsification conditions. The framework subsumes VSEPR, the octet rule, and standard bonding theory as post-veil read-outs of pre-geometric void geometry. A computational prototype (Void Topology Engine) implementing G_void using Slater/Clementi-Raimondi screened densities is provided as a companion file, demonstrating correct atomic radii trends and void fraction patterns across Z=1 to Z=18.
