A DETAILED REVIEW ON BLOOD DISEASE

Blood diseases, also known as hematological disorders, include a wide range of conditions that affect the composition, function, or production of blood cells and blood-forming tissues. These disorders can involve red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets, plasma, or the bone marrow, and may arise from genetic mutations, nutritional deficiencies, infections, immune dysfunction, or cancerous growths. Common examples include anemia, thalassemia, sickle cell disease, leukemia, lymphoma, hemophilia, and various clotting and bleeding disorders. Because blood plays a central role in oxygen transport, immunity, and homeostasis, abnormalities in blood can lead to serious health complications and significantly impact patient quality of life. This project provides a comprehensive study of major blood diseases, focusing on their causes, pathophysiology, clinical symptoms, diagnostic methods, and available treatment approaches. The work also highlights the importance of modern diagnostic technologies such as automated hematology analyzers, molecular testing, imaging tools, and advanced laboratory techniques that have improved accuracy and early detection of hematological disorders.
