Obstructive Sleep Apnea in Patients with Significant Coronary Artery Disease: An Underdiagnosed Condition
: OSA is highly prevalent in patients undergoing coronary angiography and is independently associated with greater anatomical complexity of CAD. Sleep-disordered breathing, particularly AHI and nocturnal hypoxemia, may represent important non-traditional risk markers of advanced coronary atherosclerosis. Systematic screening for OSA should be considered in patients with suspected or confirmed CAD.
