A complete process of biometric authentication and its various vulnerable points: A study
This e Various techniques of biometric related to physiological characteristics of human body are developed which are used as contribution towards security of systems. The process of biometric technology passes through four stages, these are identification, recognition, authentication and verification. These are designed in such a way so they are able to provides the protection against cyber-attacks in digital world. The characteristics are important to make the rock-hard system which preserves the quality of bio-information. According to circumstances, various vulnerable points are existed in the system which are responsible for different attacks. The properties of the biometric standard (ISO/IEC-24745) are able to provide various patches for vulnerabilities, but still has various drawbacks related to security.
