A Triumph of Minimally Invasive Surgery—Total Laparoscopic Hysterectomy with Removal of 24 Fibroids in a 52-year-old Patient: A Case Report
Uterine fibroids are the most common benign pelvic tumors in women worldwide.Their diagnosis is rarely overlooked, owing to the routine and reliable use of ultrasound in gynecological practice. With advances in surgical techniques and expertise, minimally invasive approaches have become the preferred choice for managing uterine fibroids.Laparoscopic hysterectomy (LH) has been extensively studied and validated as a safe, cost-effective technique, offering distinct advantages such as reduced postoperative pain and accelerated recovery. The operation was completed successfully without complications.Postoperative recovery was uneventful, and the patient was discharged on postoperative day 2. Histopathological examination confirmed a benign leiomyoma.
