Progress of Research on Carbon Dioxide Hydro‐methanation in Thermal Catalysis and Elaboration of Its Mechanism: Review
ABSTRACT With the continuous advancement of industrialization, carbon dioxide, as a major source of greenhouse gases, has seen its emissions rise year by year, triggering a series of climate change issues and causing serious damage to the global ecological environment. In response to this challenge, most countries have actively taken measures to reduce carbon emissions. Carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) technology represents a viable method for decreasing the atmospheric concentration of CO 2 , shows broad application prospects. This paper systematically reviews the latest advances in current carbon dioxide treatment technologies, with a focus on the research status of carbon dioxide hydrogenation to methane, and provides an in‐depth explanation of its reaction mechanism to promote further understanding of this complex reaction process, offering theoretical references to facilitate the optimization and application of this technology.
