A study of dynamical effects in heavy-ion fusion reactions in the mass region ACN≥100

This study investigates the influence of the angular momentum variation on both symmetric and asymmetric heavy-ion fusion systems, considering the variation in the excitation energy and compound nucleus mass. The analysis reveals that the dissipative effects are more prominent in the symmetric systems compared to the asymmetric ones within the compound nucleus mass region ([Formula: see text]) [Formula: see text], particularly at lower excitation energies. However, at the higher excitation energies, a wide range of dynamical fluctuations is observed in asymmetric systems also with [Formula: see text], a behavior which was not reported in earlier studies. Furthermore, this study examines the role of the entrance channel parameters, including charge asymmetry ([Formula: see text]), entrance channel mass asymmetry ([Formula: see text]) and the charge product of the projectile and target (Z p Z t ), with reference to the angular momentum variations. These parameters exhibit a strong dependence on the excitation energy, highlighting their significance in understanding the fusion dynamics and fluctuation behavior in heavy-ion reactions.
