Exploring Soil Stabilization Methods for Weak Soils: Trends and Developments

The purpose of the paper is to review in a systematic way the world research trends, developments and emerging themes in the stabilization of weak soils on a global level concerning the increasing need to have safe, durable, and sustainable geotechnical solutions. Scientometric analysis was performed on peer-reviewed publications published in 20152025. The analysis of bibliographic data included evaluating publication growth, productivity of the authors, contribution of the institutions, country-specific trends, and journal impact through the number of publications (NP) and total citations (TC) indicators. The findings demonstrate that the output of research became extremely high after 2020, and it indicates the growing interest in sustainable and innovative methods of stabilization. The leading authors, institutions, countries, and high-impact journals were used to identify key contributions and showed that there is a close relationship between research productivity and citation impact. The current research will give a solid and data-oriented summary of existing literature on soil stabilization research, which would benefit both researchers, professionals, and policymakers to understand research hotspots, the direction to take in future research, and how to make sustainable infrastructures.
