A STUDY ON THE OPTIMAL ECONOMIC EVALUATION OF A RENEWABLE ENERGY SYSTEM (PART 1) : IMPACT OF PHOTOVOLTAIC POWER FLUCTUATING ELECTRICITY SALE PRICES ON LIFE CYCLE COST AND SYSTEM CONFIGURATION FOR SCHOOL BUILDINGS
This study evaluates the optimal System Configuration and Life Cycle Cost (LCC) of a renewable energy system for a school, targeting high energy self-sufficiency. Using multi-objective optimization, we analyze the trade-off between LCC and the electricity purchase rate under three different electricity sale-price scenarios (fixed FIT and market-linked). Results show the most economically rational solution requires moderate grid reliance (a 20.5% purchase rate), not full off-grid operation. As sale prices decrease, the optimal strategy shifts toward higher grid dependency to minimize initial investment.
