Exploring the Multifaceted Nature of Déjà Vu Experiences: Insights from Linguistic Analysis and Thematic Exploration

Abstract. The research study investigates how people express their experiences with déjà vu through three types of linguistic expression and their mental processes and emotional responses. The researcher conducted the study through semi-structured interviews which they supplemented with a custom-made questionnaire to uncover the confusion that lies at the core of déjà vu. The research uses quantitative methods to extract linguistic lexes and to demonstrate thematic connections which reveal the complete collection of subjective personal experiences of déjà vu. The research findings demonstrate multiple linguistic expressions and thematic elements which present a complex portrayal of the déjà vu phenomenon. The study identified contextual signals and emotional responses as essential elements that created the personal experience of déjà vu because both elements showed how different people perceive their surroundings in particular environmental conditions. Through clarifying the cognitive foundations of déjà vu and its associations with recall, perception, and subjective truth, this research shows vital insights for future studies into human cognition and awareness.
