COVER PHOTO : The cover image shows an Iberian lynx in a granite outcrop, one of their natural habitats. The image was captured in the Montes de Toledo of central Spain within the same reintroduced population where Jiménez et al. ( Ecology , Volume 107, Issue 3, Article e70364; doi: 10.1002/ecy.70364 ) documented prey‑soaking events between 2020 and 2025 using camera traps. The authors report on these events—involving only females—in their contribution in Ecology ‘s The Scientific Naturalist section. The extended soaking time reveals a previously undocumented prey‑handling behavior in this wild carnivore.
