Hamstring Mechanics During Acceleration, Deceleration and Sidestep Cutting
). Acceleration, deceleration and sidestep cutting impose substantial demands on the hamstrings. Deceleration imposed the largest kinematic (i.e., stretch) demand on all hamstrings, whilst the task imposing the greatest kinetic demands (i.e., force and negative work) varied depending on the individual hamstring. These findings may help to inform HSI preventative and return-to-sport strategies.
