Chronon Field Cosmology : Rethinking Expansion and Horizon
This article develops the cosmological extension of the Chronon Field framework while explicitly separating a change of variables from a genuinely new cosmological dynamics. For a homogeneous FLRW universe, the normalized tempo factor is mapped according to Φ̂(t)=a₀/a(t), yielding the exact identities 1+z=Φ̂(t) and H=−Φ̂̇/Φ̂. These relations provide a tempo representation of any given FLRW expansion history. They are kinematic identities once the mapping is adopted and therefore do not, by themselves, constitute evidence for the Chronon Field. This identifiability result is central to the paper: every positive differentiable scale factor can be represented by a corresponding normalized tempo function. Consequently, the mapping alone cannot replace inflation, explain accelerated expansion, solve the horizon problem or distinguish a Chronon cosmology from ΛCDM or another model reproducing the same expansion history. The article specifies what would be required for a genuinely predictive Chronon cosmology: an independent causal constitutive equation for Φ̂, a consistent gravitational bookkeeping, a perturbation theory, an initial-state prescription and predictions distinguishable from standard cosmology. Causality is kept strictly compatible with the unchanged null cones of General Relativity. Local synchronization cannot generate correlations outside the relevant causal domain, and diffusion-like descriptions cannot be used as fundamental superluminal mechanisms. The paper also provides a phenomenological likelihood scaffold for cosmological observables while keeping cosmological deformation parameters independent from the CHRONON-1 metrological endpoint εΦ. The cosmological sector remains C0 and non-gating for the experimental Chronon program.
