First person – Pallavi Deolal

ABSTRACT First Person is a series of interviews with the first authors of a selection of papers published in Journal of Cell Science, helping researchers promote themselves alongside their papers. Pallavi Deolal is first author on ‘ Uip4 governs nuclear shape by modulating the Saccharomyces cerevisiae lipidome’, published in JCS. Pallavi conducted the research described in this article while a PhD student in Krishnaveni Mishra's lab at School of Life Sciences, University of Hyderabad, Hyderabad, India. She is now a Postdoc in the lab of Jonas Ries at Max Perutz Labs, Vienna, Austria, investigating the organizational heterogeneity of nuclear membrane.
