The study aimed to explore graduate students' awareness of the importance of using big data at Umm Al-Qura University. A descriptive research design was applied to a random sample of 192 graduate students of both genders, representing various theoretical and applied disciplines at Umm Al-Qura University. For data collection, a questionnaire was developed covering three dimensions: (1) awareness of the importance of using big data in academic assignments, (2) in scientific research, and (3) in simulation and decision-making. The results revealed that the overall mean score for the questionnaire was 4.066, indicating a "high" level of awareness among graduate students at Umm Al-Qura University regarding the importance of using big data. Awareness levels were high across all dimensions, with the sub-dimensions ranking as follows: awareness of the importance of big data in simulation and decision-making, in scientific research, and in academic assignments. The study also found no statistically significant differences in awareness based on gender, specialization, years of practical experience, or current stage of study. The study recommended that Umm Al-Qura University provide specialized personnel in big data across all colleges to support students in effectively utilizing big data.
