Induced Pluripotent Stem Cell‐Derived Cardiomyocyte Therapy for Ischemic Heart Failure
ABSTRACT Induced pluripotent stem cell‐derived cardiomyocyte therapy represents an important milestone in cardiac regenerative therapy for ischemic heart failure. Early human experience with epicardial cell‐sheet implantation demonstrated procedural feasibility and short‐term safety, with signs of improved left ventricular contractility and myocardial perfusion. Although clinical experience remains limited, these findings suggest that cardiomyocyte‐based regenerative therapy may eventually complement established therapies for advanced heart failure.
