Towards a Living Carifesta Map

As the Stabroek News closes in three days, I am honored to return to its pages one final time to discuss another Carifesta project that I have worked on as part of my years-long research on the festival: an interactive digital map of the early Carifestas. This column discusses a recently published pilot version of the map featuring the first two festivals, as well as a vision for a future version of the map that is deeply collaborative and hosted within the Caribbean.

Published in the column "In the Diaspora," edited by Alissa Trotz.

This column discusses a recently published pilot version of the map featuring the first two festivals, as well as a vision for a future version of the map that is deeply collaborative and hosted within the Caribbean.

Published in the column "In the Diaspora," edited by Alissa Trotz.
