Influence of COVID-19 on education history undergraduates’ academic reading habit for curriculum implementation in the post COVID-19 era
Not much is known about the effect of COVID-19 on the academic reading habit of students for curriculum implementation in the post-COVID-19 period due to lack of research. Hence, this study was carried out to find out the effect of COVID-19 on the academic reading habit of Education History students in comparison with their reading habit before, during, and after the COVID-19 period. Longitudinal survey design was used and 120 Education History undergraduates were sampled using purposive sampling technique. A questionnaire was used for data collection. Frequency and percentage were used to answer the research questions and Friedman test was used to test the null hypotheses. Finding showed that COVID-19 caused academic reading loss for students during the pandemic and even in the post-pandemic era when compared with their reading habit before the pandemic.
