A physiological-time embedded phase-space representation of heart rate variability: first description and exploratory framework
This work presents a physiological-time embedded phase-space representation of heart rate variability (HRV), in which time is defined as the cumulative sum of RR intervals. The approach represents HRV as a continuously evolving trajectory in phase space, preserving the temporal progression of the signal. It complements established HRV methods by making dynamical structures such as loops, oscillatory patterns, and transitions directly visible. This record provides a time-stamped public description of the conceptual framework.
