Compliance & Visibility: Publishing successfully according to the RWTH Publication Guideline and with accurate Funding Acknowledgements

The talk offers a practice insight into two aspects of academic publishing. The first part explains why at RWTH Aachen University’s Publication Guideline not only meet formal requirements but can also actively enhance the visibility and impact of research. The second part focuses on funding acknowledgements in publications and why references to third-party funding are essential for the traceability and transparency of funder requirements. Using concrete best practice examples, minor pitfalls in the wording are highlighted, whilst also demonstrating how publication records in RWTH Publications can be enriched with project information. Finally, a brief outlook is provided on how compliance contributes to the reputation of RWTH Aachen University in the long term.
