Survey: Corrections‐based MOUD exhibits marked disparities

Results of a survey of health care personnel in correctional facilities show continuing disparities in inmate access to medications for opioid use disorder (MOUD), with state prisons less likely than local jails to offer the evidence‐based treatments. The survey also found that rural communities and facilities in the Midwest and South showed lagging numbers in access to medication treatment.
