Controllable Bistability and Four‐Wave Mixing in a Hybrid Cavity–Magnon Optomechanical System With Dissipative Magnon–Photon Coupling

ABSTRACT A hybrid cavity–magnon optomechanical system that simultaneously supports magnon–photon and photon–phonon couplings can combine the advantages of both cavity optomechanics and cavity magnonics. Here, we propose a scheme to control and enhance the optomechanical nonlinear effects based on a hybrid cavity–magnon optomechanical system with dissipative magnon–photon coupling dominating in the system. By investigating the impact of the dissipative coupling on the formation of hybridized magnon–photon modes, we present a mechanism to significantly increase the intracavity photon and magnon numbers in the system. Then, we investigate the optomechanical bistability and four‐wave mixing (FWM) in the system, and demonstrate that the mechanism can be used to control and enhance the bistable and FWM effects. Our study indicates that the hybrid cavity–magnon optomechanical system with dissipative magnon–photon coupling can not only reveal distinct coupling features of the dissipative coupling, but also have broad prospects in various applications based on the optomechanical nonlinear effects.
