A grey integrated based decision framework for sustainable and resilient supplier selection in food supply chains
The increasing level of uncertainty with regard to the food supply chains of the world, which is a result of climate change, pandemic, and geopolitical drivers, has put the spotlight on the significance of supplier evaluation models that emphasize the importance of resiliency as well as sustainability. In this study, an integrated model of supplier selection, which is specifically suitable for the food industry, has been developed by applying the Grey Integrated Decision Analytics (GIDA) technique, which is highly efficient in dealing with incomplete, qualitative, as well as vague data, making it highly appropriate for evaluating the performance of the suppliers. The results of the study are helpful for the food industries to identify the best supplier among available suppliers considering resilient and sustainable practices.
