GÖBEK MOTORLU ELEKTRİKLİ ARAÇLARDA MİLİN MİNİMUM DEFORMASYONUNA GÖRE TEKERLEK KONUMUNUN SINIRLANDIRILMASI

This research focuses on a type of electric hub motor with a single-sided bearing. A 3D motor model was created for a specific type of electric vehicle, and a mathematical model of the axle shaft, the motor's highest load-bearing component, was developed. The loads in the external rotor hub motor were simulated, and the axle shaft condition was examined using Finite Element Method (FEM) analyses. Subsequently, an FEM-based parametric optimization approach was employed to determine the wheel position and dimensions to minimize axle shaft deformation. This method was selected due to its capability to provide physically accurate modeling of the system’s behavior making it a reliable approach frequently used in design engineering. Furthermore, the strength of the axle shaft under specific loads was determined based on the optimization results, and the necessary limits for selecting the appropriate material for the axle shaft were established. In addition, the effect of axle shaft deformation on maintaining the motor air gap within optimum limits was evaluated.

The loads in the external rotor hub motor were simulated, and the axle shaft condition was examined using Finite Element Method (FEM) analyses.
