Prácticas ambientalmente sostenibles y responsabilidad social en servicios de alimentación de la región de Ñuble, Chile
Environmental sustainability has become a fundamental pillar of corporate social responsibility commitments, contributing to sustainable development, competitive advantage, and organizational positioning. This study aims to assess the extent to which environmentally sustainable practices are implemented in food services in the uble Region, and to analyze their relationship with corporate social responsibility and organizational factors such as company size and management type.A quantitative approach was adopted, employing a descriptive-correlational, cross-sectional design.A non-probability convenience sampling method was used, covering over 90% of the total population of food service providers. The findings indicate no statistically significant relationship between the level of implementation of environmentally sustainable practices and corporate social responsibility declarations, nor with the examined organizational factors. The most frequently implemented practices include solid waste management and efficient water use, whereas environmental education campaigns and the adoption of clean technologies show the lowest levels of implementation. These findings help identify areas for improvement and guide the development of institutional strategies more committed to environmental sustainability.
