Interacting Dark Energy with Dynamical Decoupling: A Self-Regulating Mechanism for Cosmic Acceleration and the H₀ Tension
Wepropose a cosmological model in which dark energy (DE) and dark matter (DM) interact inthe early Universe through an energy transfer mechanism that dynamically weakens as theUniverse expands. This interaction naturally leads to a self-regulating regime in which theenergy densities of DE and DM remain comparable for an extended period, thereby addressingthe coincidence problem. As the interaction term decays, dark energy effectively decouples andbegins to dominate, triggering late-time cosmic acceleration. The model preserves the successesof ΛCDMatlate times while allowing for modified expansion history at earlier epochs, potentially alleviating the H₀ tension. We outline the theoretical framework, discussphenomenological implications, and propose a connection to an information-based description ofcosmological dynamics. This work presents a new theoretical framework. Numerical validation using CLASS is plannedin future updates
