Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) skills audit and training needs assessment report

This report presents findings from the Skills Survey conducted within the Department of Public Works and Infrastructure (DPWI). The skills survey was conducted as phase two of the skills audit project in the selected frontline and infrastructure service departments. The survey was conducted among Senior and Middle Management Services (SMS and MMS) officials in the aforementioned Department across twenty-three (23) targeted Branches in the DPWI. This report provides a brief background to the study, an overview of the assessment dimensions of the skills audit, a description of the data sources, a summary of the response rates for the branches and units, an overview of the data analysis approach, and a high-level summary of the findings of the Skills Audit assessment data collected from February to March 2025.
