Enhancing Organic Social Media Engagement in Online Language Education: A Data-Driven Approach

In an increasingly digital and competitive landscape, organic social media strategies have become essential tools for ensuring the visibility and growth of educational institutions - particularly online schools. This dissertation examines how data analysis can optimize organic social media strategies for an online English school. The project focuses on evaluating the performance of unpaid content, with the goal of improving audience engagement, increasing visibility, and ultimately boosting student enrolment. By analyzing engagement, reach, growth, and traffic, the study reveals patterns in the school’s content strategy. By using analytical tools like Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, and Instagram Analytics, combined with Python-based data processing and visualizations in Tableau, the project builds a solid foundation for informed decision-making. The methodology includes structured data collection, processing, performance analysis, and visualization, ensuring that all recommendations are grounded in actionable insights. The expected results support the development of an optimized content strategy, aligned with audience behavior and preferences. The project proposes strategies to boost organic reach by identifying effective content types and posting times. Additionally, it presents marketing recommendations tailored to educational goals, such as refining topics, targeting specific audience segments, and using cost-effective tools like user-generated content. Beyond the technical component, the study addresses ethical concerns related to data privacy and transparency, ensuring that all practices comply with established guidelines and foster trust with the audience. Challenges such as incomplete data and difficulties in identifying clear trends are acknowledged and mitigated through iterative testing and validation. This work shows the potential of data-driven marketing and offers a scalable model for improving online presence in education. Its key value is proving how data analytics enhances engagement, content planning, and enrolments, validating its role in educational success.
