FACTORIO 2027: The New World Order of the Citadels

This analysis theorizes the 2026–2028 "Hard Reboot" of the global order as a transition from a maritime-based "Analog OS" to a terrestrial, protocol-driven "Distributed Heartland". Building on the initial identification of U.S. decline—characterized by elite fragmentation and imperial overstretch - this work identifies a shift from "Universal Manager" to "Predatory Disrupter". The core thesis argues that the global economy has moved from "Carbon UDP" (asynchronous maritime trade) to a "Packet-Switched" terrestrial model. By analyzing the emergence of the "E6" (New Rome) and the "Hearth" (China), the study identifies the "Surgical Bifurcation" of industrial sovereignty from legacy maritime dependencies. This transformation is marked by thereplacement of diplomatic consensus with "Systemic Uptime" and "Metabolic Depth" as the primary metrics of state survival. Keywords: Systemic Latency, Metabolic Depth, Protocol Sovereignty, Surgical Bifurcation, NewRome, Distributed Heartland.
