Energy storage cost analysis and its impact on the electricity market under electricity - carbon market coupling
Under the dual carbon vision, the power industry will face a multi market collaborative trading pattern of electricity carbon market coupling and electricity green certificate market coupling. As a new type of business entity, energy storage enterprises participating in the electricity market can effectively improve their ability to consume new energy. This study establishes a dual layer simulation model of energy storage electricity market that considers the value transmission of energy storage environment, quantifies the profit improvement space of energy storage participating in multi market services, and its contribution to reducing electricity market costs and promoting consumption and emission reduction. The upper layer analyzes the comprehensive cost of independent energy storage with the goal of maximizing profits and obtains its pricing strategy. The lower layer simulates electricity market transactions with energy storage and optimizes the charging and discharging behavior of energy storage to maximize the economic benefits of the power system. The study used an improved IEEE 14 node network for simulation analysis, and the results showed that independent energy storage can significantly improve the flexibility and economy of the system in the context of multi market collaborative trading, reduce system carbon emissions, and promote the consumption of new energy.
