Draft genome sequences of 16 multidrug-resistant Enterococcus faecalis isolated from ornamental birds and associated environments in Bangladesh
We report the draft genomes of 16 multidrug-resistant Enterococcus faecalis isolated from ornamental bird settings in Bangladesh. Genomes harbored antimicrobial resistance and virulence factor genes, plasmids, and bacteriocins, with high pathogenicity scores. These findings highlight the potential zoonotic and environmental health risks posed by E. faecalis in ornamental bird environments.
