Digitalizing Quality Monitoring and Control for Increased Production Process Efficiency: A Case Study
The article presents a case study of the implementation of digitalization of a quality monitoring and control system of manufacturing process and its impact on the efficiency of the entire production process. The study concerns the water meter body manufactured by an enterprise that produces equipment for measuring systems used in water supply systems. Validation of the system showed that its implementation contributed to a significant reduction in the fraction of defective products, enabled a shortening of the transition time and improvement of the OEE indicator.
